Get the Life You Desire Using the Law of Attraction

Maybe there are things you want to change about your life. It’s not uncommon to want to be more than you are right now. It could be a relationship you want to change or a job or even a health issue. Women the world over have learned to put the law of attraction into practice and get the life they want to live right now. You can do it too.
What is the Law of Attraction?
It sounds complicated but it really is a simple principle: attract into your life the things that you focus on most. So, if money is your goal, pay particular attention to it. On the flip side, if your focus tends towards the negative aspects of life, that is all you are going to see manifested.
Positive Thinking, Anyone?
For the law of attraction to begin to work, define your focus. You may want something that you don’t currently have, but the idea is to frame it in a positive light. For instance, if you have a mountain of credit card debt, don’t concentrate on the amount of debt or how long it will take you to get rid of it. Turn those thoughts to how you will feel as a financially free person who is creating wealth instead of debt.
Isn’t this just a fantasy? Not at all! Changing your focus from the negative to the positive is not lying to yourself but putting all of your energy towards changing your situation from negative to positive. Being grateful for where you are and where you will be is a change in thinking that you’ll want to make. First see what you want to be and then concentrate on making it happen to get the life you want.
Let Go of some Things
We all have needs. Focusing too much on those needs can turn into obsession. You are constantly seeking to fulfill that need which says that you are not fulfilled at that moment. Unfulfilled is not a happy life. It ties you to those needs in an unhealthy way. The Law of Attraction says that you live as if you already have everything you want. That sounds like a more fulfilling existence. You are free to live as you would like. To grow, change your view again. Resist the urge to add “need” to your thoughts or you will halt the Law of Attraction.
First Steps
Here is the exciting part. What kinds of things do you want to attract into your life? Start with a list of the current things you are grateful for. Take it one step further. Instead of making resolutions like “I want to be debt free,” say “I have $500,000 in the bank for retirement.” Now your desire is an affirmation. How does it feel to have that much in the bank for your future? Remember that feeling and now have faith that you can attract what you want to you.

How to Use the Law of Attraction to Lose Weight

Remember when ‘The Secret’ was all the rage? It was everywhere; ‘The Secret’ books. ‘The Secret’ DVDs. ‘the Secret’ bumper stickers. Only it’s not really a secret. The concept behind this seemingly ‘new’ phenomenon has actually been around for a very long time; it’s just never been packaged so ‘attractively’ before now (pardon the pun!). Whatever the case, the basic premise behind the Law of Attraction is: ‘Focus on what you want, and you can have it’. But did you know that you can use the principles behind the Law of Attraction to lose weight? Anybody can use their minds to attract good things into their lives; you have the power to create anything you want. It’s all about giving your mind a picture of what you want; through a process called visualization. In order to get what you want, you need to be specific about what that is. So begin by asking yourself a few basic questions: * What exactly is your goal weight? * How will you feel when you reach your ideal weight? * What will you be wearing and how will it feel on your fit, healthy, slim body? Visualization is using your imagination to ‘daydream’ about the things you want. Remember when you used to get told off in class for daydreaming? Well it turns out your teachers were wrong; daydreaming is actually very good for you, provided you use it wisely. When I use the term ‘visualize’ I’m not just talking about using your eyes; I’m talking about using all five senses – seeing, hearing, feeling, tasting and/or smelling. Some people feel what they are attracting or get a sense of it instead of seeing; or they may imagine that they can hear others congratulating them on their success once they have achieved the goal. All of these are examples of visualization. But visualizing yourself at your ideal weight is only one part of the equation. Not sure where or how to start? Here are some of my favourite tips for using the Law of Attraction to lose weight; ONE: Combine your Visualization with your Workout You can do this just before you begin your workout, or even while you are in the middle of it. Sometimes exercise can be a bit uninspiring (oops – did I say that??), so this is a really productive way to pass the time. By daydreaming about your ideal body you are leveraging your results. As you work out, get a picture or a feeling of your body as it responds to exercises. Notice how it feels as your body becomes fitter, stronger and leaner right before your eyes. TWO: Create a Vision Board A vision board is basically a group of pictures that represents the things you want to attract into your life. You can cut out pictures from magazines or download images from the internet and print them. These images should show the kind of body you want to have. Or you could include pictures of the things you will do once you have reached your goal weight, or even the type of foods that will become part of your new, healthier lifestyle. Look at these pictures and images every day. Allow them to inspire you. As you give your subconscious mind a picture, it sets out to create this as your reality. THREE: Use Affirmations Affirmations are a great way to get what you want. If you’re not familiar with affirmations and how they work, feel free to download my free e-books for more information. You can practise your affirmations throughout the day or during specific times, such as first thing in the morning or before you go to sleep. Affirmations serve to change the neurological pathways, steering you away from what you do not want and towards what you do want. FOUR: Take Action The most crucial step in using the Law of Attraction is that you do actually have to do something to bring about the changes you want. You can affirm your ideal weight until you’re blue in the face but you will not actually achieve anything unless you take action. When used properly, The Law of Attraction can feel like magic – but is not a magic quick fix – it is a means for you to get what you want by focusing on what you want and then tuning into ‘clues’ from the Universe about how to go about getting it. So for example, let’s say you have already created your vision board; you know what you want and have focused on the minutest details. Then one day out of the blue during your power walk, you might notice an organic fruit and vegetable shop that sells its produce cheaply; funny how it has been there all along but you have only just noticed it now! All of these things happen for a reason. They are not coincidences or accidents. They are the Law of Attraction at work. The Law of Attraction works – whether you believe in it or not. The trick is to have patience; ask for what you want and then let go of wanting it. What Makes it Difficult to Use the Law of Attraction

The one undeniable aspect of the “Law of Attraction” is that you always get what you are thinking about. Knowing this is the key to making it work for you.

I have been working with the “Law of Manifesting” for the last seven years and discovering how it works. Both of these laws work the same. They are both put into action by your thoughts – thought is the trigger, the key that turns on the whole process. If you are thinking “I can’t make this work,” not working is what you must be experiencing. If you have lived your life in poverty and lack, then your inherent thoughts are going to be of poverty and lack – you will think as a poor person, and poverty will be your experience.

If you have been a chronically ill person all your life, then illness is your constant companion and illness is what you will always experience. If your thoughts are not in harmony with what you wish, you will not experience your true desires. Thoughts of violence are followed by a life of experiencing violence, and until your thoughts change, and you think of only peace, nothing is going to change.

You cannot experience abundance or being rich until you think like a rich person with abundance – then abundance and the experience of being rich follows.

You cannot experience being healthy, until all your thoughts are about good health. This does not mean that thinking about getting healthy is going to work. You will only experience thinking about getting healthy, and you will continue to experience illness. If you know yourself as being ill – that is what you will experience. If you are thinking you don’t want to be ill, you are still thinking about being ill.

Concentrate on good health, not what you are already experiencing. Lie to yourself until you believe the lie. “I am in perfect health” and it is what I want to experience in my life. However, the moment your thoughts bring up your present illness – it is what you will experience.

If you have lived a live of poverty, all your thoughts are going to be about poverty – about not spending money, or not having any to spend, and not having enough. Everything you do will be determined by money, i.e., “I can’t afford to do this or that.” “I will never have this, I will always be poor,” I can’t seem to save or get ahead.

To start, hang on to your next nickel and know it as abundance. It may only be a nickel, but it is still abundance. Know that you have it and it will grow – you can see it and feel it. And if it is abundance, then you are rich. You cannot experience being a rich person if you do not think as one. Lie to yourself if you have to, know that you are rich – start to think as one who is rich and eventually you will experience being rich. If you think as a poor man trying to get rich, that is what you will experience. A rich man doesn’t count his money, he knows he has enough. A poor man is always counting his money and knows he doesn’t have enough.

A rich man does what he wants and knows his money is there, a poor man knows that it is not. A rich man does not keep his money in his wallet. He knows he has access to it. Abundance does not have to be in your wallet. If you know that it will be there when you want it – that is what you will experience. You do not have to keep a mountain of money under your mattress; all you need to know is that it will be there when you want it. You will attract to you what you need in the moment. Wouldn’t it be nice to know that you can attract the money to you when you want it – you don’t have to keep records or bank accounts – no one can steal it from you?

Why are hypochondriacs always sick – because they can? Doesn’t it follow that if you can make yourself sick, you can keep yourself well? I lived with one, and I know how it works. I also healed myself of a crippling childhood disease and healed myself before anyone decided to operate on me. I was declared a miracle child and the first ever to overcome this disease without surgery. The healing came from knowing – not from knowing I was going to get better, but from knowing I already was. But the real miracle was from removing myself as a six year old from a household in turmoil, to a safe place of temporary refuge. I created an illness to protect myself and then I healed myself when it was safe to return.

If you would take the time to have a look at your present situation, the people, and circumstances of how you live, and interact with others – you will find your story. You cannot run or hide from yourself. Everything you are experiencing now, you have created. They are manifestations of your own thoughts about yourself, others and your environment.

You may say, “I didn’t want this or that,” but by thinking that you didn’t want it you have given energy to it and created it. By thinking, I don’t want to be poor, I don’t want to be sick, I don’t want this relationship – you are creating it, because you are thinking about it and why you don’t want it. You could be spending your time thinking about what you do want – that is where you need to focus your thoughts and your energy in order to create what you desire.

More than likely most of you will not manifest what you truly want to experience because you don’t really know what you do want – few of us do. You will not be able to manifest it because you are not clear about what you want. You may say I want $5,000,000, and I will be happy. Think about this – what is it that you really want, happiness or $5,000,000. You may get the five million but will you be happy? You may get terminal cancer just before you cash the cheque. Your thoughts about happiness will not manifest, because you are focused on the money and not a total holistic picture of how you are or what you want.

For most of us, our past will interfere with how we manifest our future. We have bought into the old ideas given us by our parents and society, and we believe them. You may have decades of old habits and believes that you will have to overcome before you can effectively manifest what you desire. The first step comes from a desire to change your thinking, to get out of the box. You may have to take small steps, lie to yourself for awhile, and do affirmations – whatever it takes to change your thought process.

When you begin to think as a rich person, you will experience wealth. When you begin to think as one who is whole you will begin to experience good health. When you begin to think happy, you will experience happiness. It is the “law of attraction” and the “law of expectation,” that creates. It is your thoughts which trigger them. The universe is impartial and non-judgmental; it cannot turn you down for any reason. When you test the law of gravity and jump off a 20 story building; the law works for you whether you are good or bad, worthy or unworthy. And so do all natural laws.

If what you are experiencing in your life has given you “all” that you desire, then good for you. I would ask you why you are reading this. It was your thought which brought you to this article. You are missing something, and if you are denying it at this moment, you will have a pretty good idea why your life is the way it is now, and why the law of attraction haven’t worked fully for you.

Using The Law Of Attraction To Have Your Dream Date

4. Turn your shyness into assertiveness. Think and act as if you already are comfortable with your date but be cautious not to overreact! As a general rule, be yourself; no more, no less! Feel good about yourself and always think that you are attractive.
5. Try to mirror the attitudes and behaviors of the person you’re trying to convince, or try to find common ground. Notice that you have similarities right? This can be beneficial to you; you can easily be acquainted to him/her by sharing the same likes and dislikes. If you both love watching movies, then an interesting film can be a start of a nice conversation. Remember, like attracts like.
6. Although it’s obvious the universe is on your side, you don’t want to appear horrible on your date. Looks are also important. Your appearance is one sure source of attraction. So dressed up, look nice and spray your favorite perfume.
7. Enjoy life and do the things you always wanted. Why not spend your time partying, strolling or traveling? Do what you want to do and don’t use your spare time for useless activities such as oversleeping and locked up inside your room.

Five Common Mistakes When Using The Law of Attraction

If you believe the universe will serve your desires on a platter while you lie on a couch watching tv and ‘dreaming’ of the things you want and that they will be delivered to your door five seconds after you think of it, you need to think again. If you think that the world is going to change while you make no effort then you’ll need to re-think your approch to using the law of attraction. These are some of the common mistakes people make when trying to make the law work for them. Lets have a look at some others mistakes that can hinder the working of the law;
Mistake #1: All you have to do is think positive and what you want will occur.
Positive thinking occurs only on the conscious level; this is why positive thinking is not enough to put into effect the law of attraction. Belief and faith also need to be present in the unconscious mind
The mind is always operating on two levels, the subconscious and the conscious. Our conscious faculties are bombarded by hundreds of pieces of data at any moment from the five senses. This is a huge amount of information to transact and absorb, even with such an advanced tool as the human brain. Our minds would slowly turn into a sticky swamp if they were dealing with every single piece of information all of the time.
Instead, we developed the conscious mind, which serves as a filter to review the information sent to it by the senses and retain anything that it deems to be of interest. Anything that it does not consider important is passed along to the unconscious mind. It is the subconscious which retains the information, acting as the guardian of hidden memories until such time as those memories are needed again.
Mistake #2: Impatience
The cosmos works at its own speed; remember, every action carries with it an equal and opposite reaction. It is essential that all environmental conditions be right in order for an event to occur just as it should.
This means that the law of attraction may take weeks, months or even years to produce the desired outcome for a single individual. People of today’s society are spoiled; they want what they want and they want it now! A theory that does not deliver instant fulfillment will not be received with a great deal of favor.
In addition to that, casting out the law of attraction because it does not meet your established timetables (after all, it never says precisely when all of these wonderful rewards will come about, only that they will) is a direct violation of the guidelines required to obtain positive results. You might have been merely testing the law up to now in order to see if it will produce results; if you were confident in its ability to produce the desired results you would be content to sit and wait, knowing that what you want most will come to you in time.
On the other hand, if you are impatient, it indicates that you have no confidence in the ability of the law to bring about the desired outcomes. This means that somewhere in your being is a kernel of negative energy, sufficient to throw a monkey wrench into the whole process of positive attraction. Remember, if you are vibrating negative energy you will attract negative energy back onto yourself.
Mistake #3: Pre-determining when you will get what you want
Let the universe do the work! It is possible to become so focused on what you think is going to happen that you manage to totally miss the event when it occurs if it does not occur in precisely the manner you pictured it would.
As we said before, the cosmos will choose its own time and place for all things to happen, and these events may take place through unknown means. By predetermining precisely how you will receive the rewards which you are seeking, you are taking away the alternatives from the hands of nature, which directs the ebb and flow of the energies of life. You are setting yourself up for a hard fall.
By setting your own time-line for events to occur you will eventually come to disbelieve in the law of attraction (after all, it didn’t do what it was supposed to, did it?), this will cause your unconscious mind to radiate the negative energy which will drive the positive energy away.
Mistake#4 Being led by your emotional responses
In order to reap the greatest advantage of the law of attraction you need to understand that what you see now is a result of what you have been attracting up to this point; again, it is essential that you realize that what has happened in your life to this date and what will happen later on is determined by you and how you think about it. Whatever successes or failures you have experienced have been the result of the energies that your mind and body have released into the universe.
It is very easy to look at the events of your life and think, “I certainly didn’t want ‘that’ to happen; the law of attraction must be untrue because I would never wish for something so awful.” What you have to realize is that it is not always what your conscious mind wishes for that influences what your subconscious mind is projecting.
Which leads us to the fifth most common mistake
Mistake #5: Hanging onto long held beliefs
Many times people descend into a self defeating cycle because they are unaware of and unable to control the thoughts and attitudes of their subconscious mind .
It is those who have dared to see their inner world differently, who have believed in the possibilities offered by lofty ideals, who have effected the greatest changes in the world. Do you think that if the colonists had really believed that they would never be free of the British they would have been able to win the revolutionary war? If Henry Ford had not truly believed that man could ride in a car, do you think that the Model T could have been invented? If women really believed that they were destined to live the rest of their life under the thumb of their fathers and husbands, with no say in the lives they would leave, that women’s liberation would have occurred?
The eradication of limiting beliefs such as these is vital to allowing the law of attraction to work as it is intended to. If you truly feel that the law is not working for you, take a second to contemplate the things that you are wishing for. Do you really believe that these events can take place, or are you merely making idle wishes? Do you secretly believe that you have a ‘one in a million’ chance of any of those things actually happening?
In order to project the vibrations which are necessary to draw the energies of the universe to you it is crucial that you be one hundred percent confidant in your ability to effect a change and be willing to believe that all of the events occurring up to that point have been a necessary prerequisite to bringing these events to be.

And like all who truly practice the Law of Attraction – present company included – she wants everyone including you to know about it.
A WEIGHTY LOA QUESTION
At our many lectures, meetings, and seminars that we appear at each year, the inevitable question is raised by an audience member. “Can I lose weight with the Law of Attraction?” The answer is a clear and concise Yes!
How do we know this? Because using the Law of Attraction, and the Universal methods of thought to emotion to end result, Beth lost 50 pounds and I lost over 100 pounds. When I began using the LOA for weight loss, I weighed in at 440 pounds. And I continue to lose and manage my weight. My Law of Attraction success in this, my most lifelong troubling struggle, erased any atom of lingering doubt I ever harbored concerning LOA.
First, in case you are a little confused by The Secret, and are perhaps new to the idea of it, we’d better explain how the Law of Attraction works. Everything in the physical world where we exist vibrates. EVERYTHING whether it be dirt, a tree, a human being—these all emit a vibration. Even a rock vibrates—albeit at a much slower and barely perceptible pace—and a human being vibrates at a far more rapid rate.
These vibrational patterns translate to everything that you are feeling, which moves the Universe to, in turn, attract exactly what those feelings are. So if you are thinking (feeling) about how angry you may be at someone, the Universe takes that emotion and emits (returns) directly back to you what you happen to be feeling. You always attract exactly what you are feeling. THIS IS THE LAW OF ATTRACTION.
So if you are feeling wonderful, and thinking about how great your day is, and you are happy and grateful for that wonderful day, the Universe attracts (returns) to you exactly what you are feeling —more days of joy and wonder. What could be better than that? However, as is usually the case, there are a few problems with us humans when it comes to attracting what we desire.
In society today, people usually don’t listen to their intuition. We instead rely on other people to tell us “what is.” It’s kind of like old fable, “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” when an entire kingdom was convinced that despite naked truth, they all agreed that His Majesty’s new clothes were all the rage — the living end! How often do we see our fellow citizens jump into line like lemmings to the sea, and how often do we accept the opinions of others as uncontestable fact? We think you would agree that the fashion mavens have accomplished that, much to the chagrin and disappointment of the fully two-thirds of the American public that cannot fit into the clothes they market.
It’s time that we listen to ourselves and stop listening to what is really just other people’s opinions telling you what to think. This brings us to our first, and most important, question that we will ask of you this lesson: Who are you losing this weight for? Is it for you? Is it for someone else? Are you losing it because you want to feel better, or do you simply want to lose a few pounds for a swimsuit that is calling your name?
The right answer — and in this case there is a right answer — is: FOR YOU. You must only lose weight for you. If you are not losing the weight for you, then you might as well grab a gallon of Baskin-Robbins and go sit in a corner with a big spoon and a TV remote control. It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks you should do. You must commit to losing the weight only for you.
If losing the weight will make you happy, then that is the biggest reason for you to lose the weight. Sure, losing weight for health reasons is always good and noble, but the main reason we want to help you to lose weight is because it will make you happy. See, that’s how the Law of Attraction works. It is all about what you desire; what will cause you to be happy. This, by the way, is not greedy… no matter what the Nay Sayers say. (And they DO love to say, say, say!) This is the Wonderful Law of Attraction, and to be able to create whatever life you want for your self is the Universe’s greatest gift to you.
DOWN GO THE POUNDS (OR KILOS!)
We were at a Wellness of the Mind retreat and we talked about the Law of Attraction and losing weight. There were many people there who lived their life through the Law of Attraction and, as always, there were people new to the LOA, and the usual weight loss questions were posed.
Weight loss through the Law of Attraction will take some of you a shorter amount of time, and for others it may take a little longer. It all depends on your mindset. LOVE yourself, ENJOY yourself, YOU are a wonderful person who creates your Universe. Isn’t that powerful? Your own body regenerates every second. You are a part of that. YOU can regenerate your body to be what you want, you can!
Maybe this is the week that you have a night that you treat yourself for just being you: The you that you are right now, and think about all the things that make YOU happy and joyous.
A doctor once asked Beth if she exercised and she said, “I walk about a half a mile each day.” The doctor replied, “Is that all? You need to exercise AT LEAST a mile each day!” Beth looked at the doctor and said, “Is that all? Are you kidding me? I didn’t move at all before. This half-mile is a big deal for me. When I am darn good and ready to go a mile, when I FEEL like I WANT to, then I will. I know that a half-mile is better than none at all, and my body knows it. Don’t make me try to feel bad. I’m proud of myself!”
Remember to continue doing what is working for you. Just those little steps help immensely over a year’s time, and if that ‘normal’ mind is feeling deprived, eat one bowl of popcorn instead of two, or eat half a candy bar instead of a whole one and save the rest for a couple of hours later. Your ‘normal’ mind will be appeased.
Listen to your body before you eat something. Sometimes it isn’t hungry, but we feed it anyway. ENJOY every bite! Try not to rip-snort through a whole meal in ten seconds flat. ENJOY every little thing that you put in your mouth and be thankful for that wonderful body of yours. You created it with help, and you can fine-tune it just as easily. Manifesting Tips – Using the Law of Attraction

Using the law of attraction can seem a bit tricky at first as a lot of the principles and the methods to use the law of attraction are counter to what it is that we have been taught and what we think we know about how things work.  After all, we spend so much time being taught that there is a certain path that we must take in order to achieve success, when in reality, there are many different paths that you can choose. Here are a couple of Manifesting Tips that can help you out: 1.  Know what your specific outcome is that you want to manifest.  The more detailed and specific that you can be about what it is that you would like to attract into your life,  the better off you will be.  After all,  a master architect still needs to know what he or she is building no matter how talented they may be. 2.  Gain inspired ideas from others.  No,  I don’t mean for you to outright copy other people.  But read and learn about people that have come up with great ideas and who have achieved success against the odds.  It can be very contagious when you start to surround yourself with this kind of inspiration. 3.  Follow your bliss.  You have probably heard this one many times before.  But,  it is imperative that you follow your heart and do something that you love.  After all, what good is success and money if you are unable to enjoy these things because you hate what you are doing? Law Of Attraction And Self Confidence – Using The Law Of Attraction To Gain Self Confidence

One of the key ingredients to a successful life, is belief in one’s self. Without self confidence how can you hope to meet the challenges that you are bound to face in life? By feeling worthy and trusting in your abilities, the greater your self confidence becomes and the easier it will be to attain your goal. Manifesting Self Confidence can be easily achieved by anyone. You will have to work at it. The universal law of attraction will pave the way to self confidence and success.
